BRENTWOOD’s Local Development Plan

DUNTON HILLS GARDEN VILLAGE (DHGV – really a New Town)

No areas South of A127 should be under Brentwood District Control

Brentwood’s Local Development Plan (LDP) is open to challenge, as in a reply from a Councillor, ‘Local Plan challenges must be based on making a case about an incorrect application of legislation, national policy, a lack of evidence or the alleged misinterpretation of evidence to arrive at a particular policy decision’ which applies to their LDP.

Also please read page HOUSING TARGETS.

Basildon Council MUST therefore, not only Challenge Brentwood Councils LDP (re DHGV) but also go for a PRINCIPAL AREA BOUNDARY REVIEW.
Also Brentwood Residents can challenge their councils LDP,
especially as not ALL areas considered.
Plus read under other headings e.g. REPORTS – Flawed & Rigged.

Brentwood Residents can challenge &/or ask for the Councils Local Development Plan to be revisited as it appears is Not Fit For Purpose. Reasons are simple: (i) Too many inaccuracies, (ii) Not ALL areas considered, (iii) Areas discounted for the wrong reasons and (iv) The evidence has been deliberately misinterpreted.

Also some areas just plodding along without proper consultation, investigation or action for 3 years (August 2018) , e.g. DUNTON HILLS GARD VILLAGE as in 2017 noted none on speaking to planning for 2 years. Even now in August 2018 deliberately being evasive, not answering questions, just saying Masterplan will be updated (but never supplying any proof when asked for) and information will be in later reports which is the same as Councillors were saying over 3 years ago.

Amending Reports accurately after discussions with Officials at Brentwood Council, whilst at times difficult in obtaining the information, proves not ALL areas were considered and some discounted for personal and political reasons.
Unfortunately the Council does not appear to want to give details how areas were decided upon and how their RATINGS were formulated, only state look at our website for the details (whether or not available or even accurate)!

FACTS re BRENTWOOD COUNCILs LOCAL PLAN

  1. Not all areas were considered and some discounted for political/personal reasons.
  2. The Best areas in Brentwood to build developments where there would be great demand (When Reports accurately amended
with actual excellent AIR QUALITY, INFRASTRUCTURE (e.g. Crossrail), job opportunities and other superb features are at: –
    (i) PILGRIMS HATCH (II) SHENFIELD (III) NORTH BRENTWOOD IV) GREENFIELD SITES North of A12  & (v) URBAN EXTENSIONS.
  3. Brentwood’s Chief Environmental Officer confirmed air quality is good in nearly all areas of Brentwood e.g. Pilgrims Hatch etc.

Their chief environmental health officer confirmed in March 2015 there is nothing wrong with the Air Quality in Pilgrims Hatch
(suitable for over 2,000 New Homes) should read ONE GOLD STAR for AIR QUALITY not Red 5 as in report!
He also confirmed only a very few areas on motorways adversely affected, as rest were being removed from monitoring.

Brentwood Residents want development on Greenfield sites North of A12, Pilgrims Hatch and in North Brentwood but not by councillors, so note why areas either not considered or discounted by Councillors for political reasons!
Also should be building over 40,000 New Homes in these areas but then Housing Target is a joke, compared to other local council areas.

The following table gives a far more accurate reading of the only areas they listed, below which there are further details: N/A information not currently provided or available.
You will note the best areas are Brentwood and Shenfield, whilst deliberately excluding Greenfield Sites North of A12 and North Brentwood.

Brentwoods current Housing Target for New Homes should ALL be built in these areas, informed 7,220.
Will mean family members can live near or in same area.
