BEBRIEF: Brentwood Exploit Basildon Residents InfrastructurE & Fenland (a Critical Drainage Area) which has a large Major Gas Pipeline.
Also this development will adversely affect other Councils/Residents.
 

Note: DUNTON GARDEN SUBURB – ended 2014/5: Joint proposal ended as Brentwood Borough Council had not carried out comparable studies to Basildon Borough Council to determine it was a suitable location for development.

ON THIS WEBSITE WISH TO PROVIDE FACTS, whilst Difficult at times as BRENTWOOD COUNCIL do not wish to supply facts, besides due to misinformation supplied and having to disseminate Facts from Fiction.
Brentwood Council appears to continue to wish to hide information/facts so that no-one or council will have time to object &/or stop this unethical development:

DUNTON HILLS GARDEN VILLAGE (DGHV really a new town)

BRENTWOOD BOROUGH COUNCIL (BBC) Fabricated/Manipulated/Omitted information in reports.
The costs to ensure no major problems; To overcome water/soil contamination and Flooding/Surface Water
on this Fenland site which has a large major Gas Pipeline, means DHGV is a totally unviable site for development.

Reported now wish to build 5,000 New Homes (originally quoted 2,500) at this unsuitable site
(20,000+ residents, 10,000 vehicles) and provide over 30 Travellers/Gypsy pitches,
as considered Outside of Brentwood District.

No areas South of A127 should be under Brentwood District Control

The artists impression of this site like many others is to get people to believe what they see which can be totally false, just part of a wish list and total fiction.

CARPETBAGGERY by BRENTWOOD BOROUGH COUNCIL (Just like after the American Civil War)
(means Brentwood plundering all the Income: Council Tax, Grants, Government money (reportedly £45 million pounds) for very little or no cost, as dumping costs and problems on Basildon Council, Other Councils and their residents).

BRENTWOOD BOROUGH COUNCIL
have stated several times that the information will be contained in their Master Plan but never happens.

Always advise too busy or give some lame excuse for being unable to answer/reply to all questions with actual facts!
EVEN THOUGH GOVERNMENT HAS GIVEN THEM additional £528,000 for this purpose.

UPON READING ALL the pages YOU WILL get a real feel how Brentwood Council are Manipulating/Fabricating/Omitting FACTS in order that they can make profits, without any or little cost:

e.g. Should go back to the drawing board as Not Fit For Purpose as Reports prove.

DUNTON is the WORST area in Brentwood reports, if accurately amended & missing information added, to build New Homes + Gypsy/Travellers Pitches.
e.g. In Brentwood’s report states ‘For Pilgrims Hatch it seems likely that a new community would be vehicle orientated, leading to significant negative effects in terms of air quality’. The same actually applies to Dunton Hills Garden Village as it would not only be totally vehicle orientated but also not have their communication links.
Also Brentwood Council have not actually listed ALL the Best areas in Brentwood to build developments, Greenfield Sites North of A12 and Blackmore are just a couple of examples, with accurate information.

Brentwood boast 6th in the Country for Greenbelt, has many superior areas, no great cost in developing, especially in the North of the District,  plus promote to attract new businesses until it appears it comes to housing development.
The highest ethical professional standards are expected from everyone concerned, but alas this does not appear to be the case.

‘INFRASTRUCTURE’
No real New Infrastructure intended for at least a decade (10 years), any indicated and actually built will be totally insufficient, just to rely on Basildon’s.

Also they build where there is least demand from their residents but then their Councillors make decisions for votes &/or personal interest.

BRENTWOOD’S REPORTS confirm DUNTON
unsuitable for development.
Dunton is described as Fenland: Meaning a low and marshy or frequently flooded area of land/covered by shallow water meaning this site is totally unsuitable for development.
Also Site contains a large Major Gas Pipeline.
UNABLE TO ENSURE NO PROBLEMS NOW OR IN THE FUTURE

So BRENTWOOD COUNCIL MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO BUILD ‘DUNTON HILLS GARDEN VILLAGE’ AND ACTION MUST BE TAKEN.
Brentwood Council are aware what this development means for Basildon Residents: Increased Council Taxes &/or REDUCED SERVICES’.

BRENTWOOD COUNCILs target should be increased from 7,600 to over 40,000 NEW HOMES as whilst district covers a vast area
(39% larger than Basildon District AND 57% fewer population), only a small part has housing.
Brentwoods small population should be greatly increased especially as they have the best areas
e.g. PILGRIMS HATCH, North Brentwood (as reports prove when accurately amended)
and especially Large areas of Greenbelt North of A12, all of which have excellent infrastructure.

Brentwood Borough Council consider South of A127 ‘Outside of their District’.

Theresa May talks about NIMBYISM by Councils but this also applies to decisions by the government,
on how many houses should be built in each Council District.

Even the government knows that NEW HOMES to be built are not mainly for Local residents but are for people from outside the area and the discrepancy between Basildon’s target of building 19,440 new homes and Brentwood only 7,600 is totally unfair. Appears based on totally biased unfair rules/statistical information (NPPF), especially when  Brentwood has a far larger area and a much smaller population in comparison.
NIMBYISM by the government and how Brentwood District gets preferential treatment, though 59% fewer people – 39% larger area and 6th in country for greenbelt.
One can draw their own conclusion as to the real reasons. 

SUMMATION

Now is the time for action to STOP Brentwood’s development DHGV, see also PAGE ‘ACTION REQUIRED’.
By  NOT TAKING REAL ACTION means DHGV (New Town) will proceed by default, as Brentwood’s Local Development Plan will be just accepted for ALL its inaccuracies.

On speaking to government institutions/departments it is beginning to appear that there are no safeguards for residents and councils can proceed with unethical developments at will.

What no-one likes is a play on words, waffle or misinformation to obtain a result that discriminates against the Residents of Other Councils including Basildon, especially by another Council i.e. Brentwood.

No development should even be considered at Dunton until professional report(s) fully resolves all issues, with ‘t’s crossed and ‘i’s dotted.

Understand Essex Wildlife Trust is also against DUNTON LOSS of GREENBELT, plus it’s Biodiversity by proposed development and English Heritage extremely concerned about developments.

ONLY ACTION NOT WORDS will stop Brentwood’s proposed unethical development.
